I noticed that when I turn on the amp I hear a short "Bzzzt" sound.I assumed it was one of the switches activating.Earlier today I had the lights down and when I turned on the amp, along with the noise I noticed a bright glow from the back.I switched it off for a couple of minutes and it didn't repeat. So tonight after dinner I went down cellar and turned on the amp while watching the tubes.Along with the "Bzzzt" one of the power tubes glows very bright for a few seconds. Maybe some type of surge? Tomorrow I will shuffle power tubes around to see if it is a faulty tube. These are new JJ tubes.Any Ideas?

I swapped tubes around today to see if the problem followed the tube.Nope it is socket related.Because the problem cannot be imediately repeated I guess something Has to discharge.Maybe I can use my current limiter to find out whether it is a current or voltage issue? more to come.Guess what!! I retried tube swapping and the problem followed the tube to a different socket-apparently when I first did it I put the same tube in the socket it came out of.Like they say always check your work.Time to contact Eurotubes.
