Dc 3 head lead channel fades in and out

I have a dc 3 head and the lead channel fades in and out sometimes. Is this a tube problem ? Also what are the best tubes for a heavy sound ?

Not sure about what tubes, but 1st try putting a patch cord in the loop. If that doesn't work, try swapping out the 1st 3 12Ax7's one at a time.(V4 is the rythm channel).

Yup , Fxrs is right.
I have the same experience , if you don't use the fx loop turn the mix pot
to 0% or put a patch cord in the loop will fix the issue.
That's because there's no loading in the loop.
