DC-3 cuts signal randomly when playing

Recently my DC-3 has started to cut out all signal in the middle of use. Everything is normal, sounds good, then bam, the signal cuts out.
I have to flip the standby switch off, and then back on again. But after a few more seconds of playing, it cuts out again. Happens on both channels.
Another odd thing I notice is that there is a weird few seconds of 60hz hum that is heard when turning the standby switch to the OFF position, it swells for a second then fades away.
I will try replacing the power tubes and report back to this thread.

Replacing the power tubes didn't solve the problem, but then I tried re-seating the preamp tubes, and the problem isn't happening anymore. Hopefully it stays that way.
