DC-3 and Boss delays questions

Over in the "Effects" forum, someone posted that Mesa parallel effects loops and Boss delays don't quite get along. Can anybody confirm this? I was thinking of picking up a DD20 delay so I want to make sure.

I have found that with some Boss delays (can't remember the model #) I never can seem to get the delay sound quite "wet" enough. Comes down to personal preference though. As far as sound quality, I never had significant problems with Boss, I just prefer the sound of other pedals.
