I know it's a cheesey one and I think it's all in the power amp (=volume) but anyone nailed that Dave Gilmore sound with the triaxis

cheers, any help would be welcome as to modes to mess with and effects etc

i dont think his tone is cheesy at all....it's one of the greates ever in my humble opinion.....you can click on the myspace link below in my signature and check out the tune called "my surprise".....during the middle of the song there is a spot that sounds very floydish and we purposely tried to get that david gilmour tone there. i used a triaxis with and eric johson strat....check it out and let me know if you think it sounds close.
 
Sorry, I didn't mean Davids tone is 'cheesy' he, in my opinion one of the 'great tones' of the guitar world....just listened to comfortably numb again today and the solo once again sends shivers down my spine!!!

What I meant by 'cheesy was some guitar dude once again asking how to get 'that' tone (i.e. I'm the cheesy one!!!)......

So tell how did you get the tone ????

i understand, thanks for the kind words about the tune and tone. I'm not around my stuff right now but I will get the info to you sometime tomorrow about the settings I used to get the tone.
