Anybody ever seen anything like this? (if you can't tell, it's a poorly implemented "photoshop" mockup).

I was thinking it would allow me to keep everything connected and still treat it as "one" unit, so easier to carry/all wired up already/etc.

I was also thinking of mounting a wireless unit and an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo.

Planning on doing it in some nice exotic wood in my workshop as a winter project.

Thoughts? Suggestions? etc.

Kind of a grab and go rack with a built in speaker. It'd probably work great but you may need a dolly to move it.

Well, I do have the wheels on the MkV...

You have my vote. If you stop the votes now we are 100% behind you. Now go build that thing and show it off. You may start something.

Looks good! If you move the G-Maj II over to one side you might have enough room for a Line6 G30/G50 Wireless as well.

You also might want to put a divider shelf between the amp chassis & G-Maj. IIRC the top of the MKV chassis is open, with a foil liner in the cab to help with EMI/RFI shielding, and you don't want the amp chassis open to dust or small objects that might cause a short, or worse accidentally touching one of the PS caps or HT traces.

Cool Idea....my only concern would be the rising heat from the tubes causing problems with the rack unit. Also, knowing guitarist's penchant for "more"...what if the one rack space just wasn't enough any more?

I voted "no", but not because I don't like the concept-I do. However, the tubes throw off a LOT of heat, and having a processor right above them could be troublesome.

Look like a great idea, SWR has something like that for bass players:

notice they put it under the head, maybe also concerned about the heat.
