I'm also a DC-3 user. Try this: No graphic eq. On the clean channel, gain somewhere around 6 or so, mid at 3 or below (depending if you want it to break up a little - remember the mid above 2 acts like a driver on this amp), bass in the 5 range. Presence should be up around 6 or 7. Here's the trick: drive the master; i.e. CRANK it into the over 7 range, and use the output level to trim the volume. Reverb to taste. This works VERY well on a tele, and gets close if you are using a strat. It's also a big help if you have some sort of compression pedal. By driving the master you are running the output tubes hotter, and get close to the sound you're going for. Brad Paisley is a remarkable player, by the way.
