Converting a LSC 212 to a 112.

Has anyone tried, or thought about trying, to convert their 2 x 12 LS to a 1 x 12.

There are two reasons for this. Firstly, I would like to shed a few pounds (both me and the amp ). Secondly, I have heard that there is an element of phase cancellation on the 212 and I am interested in hearing the difference.

I am also thinking about putting a different speaker in. I would like a slightly more vintage tone, and the C90's seem to have so much headroom I thought a speaker with earlier break up maybe good.

If you have any ideas let me know.

P.s I just did the pot swap mod on channel two.............still need to test it fully, but it does seem to be a proper clone of channel 1, which is what I was hoping for.

You can pull the speaker connects off one of the speakers to get an idea of how it sounds with just one speaker.
