Here is something we recorded with my band Schizome.
Guitar sound is Triaxis/2:90, TC G-Force and Rocktron Black Cat WAH

Song name is Checkmate.

Give me some comments.
Sound, band, playing...everything

Enjoy

I really like your instrumental. Your tone sounds great as well. I am also a TA & 2:90 owner. However, I run a rocktron intellifex thru the loop. I do want to buy a gforce one day but I just don't want to let go of my dough.

Would you tell me what modes in your TA you used in the clip. You don't have to give me all your settings, unless you just want to, but rather just tell me if you recorded using lead 2 green, yellow or others. I greatly appreciate any pointers.

Dream Theater wouldn't be one of your favorite bands are they?

Nice work!
Van Man

Yes they are, but many other bands too

All guitars are recorded at home. I use Sennheiser md 421 and shure 57.
And soundcard is E-MU 1820. I just got that and it makes very good tone if you have great mic preamp.

Checkmate main riff is:
LD2 red. Deep and modern on. amp pres 1-2 o´clock
gain 7,5 treb 5,5 mid 4,5 bass 3,5 drive 7 master 3,5 pres 7,5 DV 7,5

Riffs have two guitars. Guit1 on left and guit2 on right.
Sometimes there are 4 guitars... two with WAH sounds

Main solo is:
LD2 green. Deep and modern on
gain 7,5 treb 6,5 mid 5,5 bass 3 drive 6,5 master 4 pres 2 DV 6,5
delay 310ms, 5% feedback, mix 15%
reverb large room, decay time 2,5, mix level 10%

Guitar tracks EQ cut at 100hz

Remember that main mix of the song has some EQ. And it gives small differense.

Hope you get this!
I think we shoud share this info
ROCK!!!

loved it....very well done my friend.

couple of questions though;

what kind of cabinet were you using?

what kind of mic placement were using on the cab or cabs?

what kind of volume were you using when recording?

just asking cause i really like what you did!
