So I turn the amp on, and I'm hearing a rapid series of clicks coming from inside the amp. Checked the fan just to be sure that wasn't the culprit.

Not really sure what to make of it, but I'm feeling somewhat wary of turning it on again.

Any thoughts?

edit: grew a pair and turned it on. struck a chord and it started to cut in and out like a tremolo in time with the clicks from inside the amp. Then it stopped. This could be my imagination, but now it almost seems like the bottom end has gone all fuzzy and is distorting wildly. It's most noticeable on the mark I mode, which was a little muddy to begin with, but it's like that in all the modes it seems?

Does this happen if you bypass the footswitch (in the back) and only use one channel?
Sometimes the connection to the footswitch is "wonky" and what you're hearing are the
channels being cycled through quickly...at least that's what I think is happening.

The happens to me every so often. If I a select a channel from the footswitch or wiggle
the footswitch connector cable, the clicking goes away.

I agree with the last post. check if it happend without the footswitch cable plugged into the back of the amp.

i think its not a solid connection between the cable and the footswitch, if i move my foot switch around the cable comes a little loose, and then a "crackling noise" happens, which is remedied by fixing the connection.

Thanks guys, that was the problem. I feel silly. I just assumed it wasn't that since all the lights on the pedal were solid.

No need to feel silly...

It's a little disconcerting when it does happen. I don't think this is in the troubleshooting section of the manual but it should be especially since it seems to happen with more frequency as the amp ages and more wear and tear on the pedal and cord occurs.
