Guys,

I noticed that when I try and modify the clean level with the clean level switch, the little toggle below the knob only affect the volume of the amp when in the clean setting. When I put it into the normal or hi/lo setting and turn the knob nothing happens. This can't be normal, am I missing something here?

Please let me know

Thanks

First you mention the switch, then the toggle so I'm not sure I 100% understand the question. But here is how it is suppose to work.

The knob is a clean level knob and only alters the volume of the clean setting. It will not change the hi/lo channels

The switch beneath it controls the gain. It is the Gain Trim switch
Set to Hi/lo it will reduce (trim) the gain in the hi and lo modes
Set in the middle it leaves both hi/lo and clean gain settings alone
Set to clean it will reduce the gain on the clean channel

So is it normal that even with the knob on at 100% when in clean mode the max volume of the clean channel is well below the volume of the hi/lo channels?

That I have not experienced.

Where do you keep your volume knob (not the master)?

The volume knob is basically gain for hi/lo but has a big effect on volume for the clean channel.

If you are keeping it low to keep the gain down on the hi/lo channel, Try switching the gain trim switch to hi/lo and turning the volume knob up past 12:00.

I typically keep my volume knob at 2:00
