What are some bands that can provide some different examples of Recto tone? What bands have brutal Recto tone, what bands have ultra-compressed Recto tone? Petrucci, Mark Tremonti, and System of a Down are a few examples I can think of, but I don't know if their tones are brutal or compressed.

Godsmack up until the iv album.
Killswitch Engage
Metallica on load and reload
Disturbed on the first album
and alot of other cookie monster vocal bands

Buckethead
Chevelle
As I Lay Dying
Sevendust (Animosity era)
Lamb of God
Tool (Earlier stuff. I think Adam Jones is now using a Diezel VH4)

Alice in Chains - Dirt (Recto was mixed with Bogner Fish)

Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World

Soundgarden - Superunknown (good variety of Recto tones)

technically, Chevelle didn't use a rectifier until the last album for a few songs.

I would also add:
Linkin Park first 2 cds
Hoobastank first couple of cds
Incubus from Science to Morning View albums
Korn
Limp Bizkit
Soundgarden
and lots of other bands from the late 90's
