thanx. but i don't know if, it's good idea to replacing something inside. in case of selling triaxis (personaly i don't thnik this will ever happen ) i think this could be kind a negative. but i'll think about it!

thx buddy

If you're going to sell it eventually, it'll probably be to another European. He'll be glad that it takes 230 volt so he doesn't have to replace the transformer himself or always use a step-up transformer. 8)

I don't know anybody who has done this, but I do know that it's as easy as unsoldeering the wires of the original one, putting the new transformer in place and soldeering the new in the same place where the old ones were. It's easy, every wire has its own color.
You can keep the original transformer and you can put it back easily in case you want to sell it to somebody in the USA or if you deceide to move there.

Chances are slim that somebody wants to trade your USA 115v TriAxis for his European 230v TriAxis, which is the intention of your post I think.

I've got it done about 10 years ago.
At the time, I bought a 230V transformer directly from Mesa Boogie.
They gave me the schematics and I took it to a local electronic tech and he replaced it.

yeah, i can see that, but actually i was asking Eddy666, how much costs the original transformer from mesa/boogie. :)

Probably a lot more and you'll have to pay a lof of money for shipping it to Slovakia. Then, the customs will charge you import taxes, raising the price even more.
10 Years ago, Eddy had no other options. These days, us Europeans are finelly getting a break !

Hi, do you know what the voltages out of this transformer is? I'm checking weather it would fit my Formula preamp. I know that the transformer has the 15volt taps my Formula need, but I do not know if the tube/hugh voltage taps is correct. My Formula needs +/- 190volts (from the transformer), but I don't know what the Triaxis uses.

regards
Svein
