I figured I'd ask this here since I mainly use this cab for my MK IV, although I occasionally run other Mesas through, but... Right now I have the stock Jensen's loaded in the 4*10 cab my IV sits on. I've paired the IV with other cabs I have- 1*12 3/4 back, 4*12 recto traditional, 4*12 Stilleto, 2*12, 2*10 and it sounds awesome through their discontinued 1*12/4*8. I've pretty much settled this head on the 4*10 though.
I can't help but wonder, though, since all my other Mesa cabs are celestion loaded, if it would be worth the buck to drop a set of Greenbacks or Golds in there. Any opinions?
The amp is used for lead, mainly. Think, Progressive to Heavy rock, Strat and LP.
Also, I've never heard it with a theile... perhaps it would be a better match? I do like the 4*10 though, very articulate, airy and full. The Jensens have this upper mid thing going on but otherwise I like them.
