I liked both but preferred the V30s.

I'm about to try something similar with V30s vs V30s (Mesa vs generic UK) in the same cab (Orange).

That's exactly what I hear. I love my V30/T75 x pattern cab and the Vet 30 is very reminiscent of that tone.
