I love this guitar, but times are tough...
features:
mahogony body
Maple neck with Rosewood fretboard
Schaller Floyd Rose
Gotoh height adjustable tuners
Schaller straplocks
single volume knob(push-push to switch between pickups)
beautiful inlays of clocks where the time represents the fret number
for those of you that arent familar with Caparison guitars, they are played by Killswitch Engage, Freak Kitchen, Symphony X, Arch Enemy, Evergrey, Nocturnal Rites, Soilwork, Dragonland, Andy LaRocque and many more. the company was started by an ex-custom shop builder for Jackson guitars. the neck is a shorter scale length similar to gibson guitars, the finish is designed to be super thin so it doesnt affect the tone of the guitar, the headstock is also a bit thicker than most, all of this seems to make this guitar sing. the pickups are good for all styles i've tried, they are a milder high output pickup, and the neck pickup being single coil sized is surprisingly full sounding without getting muddy.
i bought this guitar new in summer 2006 from Guitar Asylum in NY. this was the very last Horus SE sold in the US of the 2006 model year.
