I can't seem to find a decent tone in this mode. I like the saturated tone of the MK IV and the Extreme mode.
MK II seems always so harsh, so not dinamic and with lesser gain.
I'm using a Telecaster with a Seymor Duncan HH hot rails Bridge.
Volume is not an issue. I practice with other amps. I want to sound good LOUD.
I must be doing something wrong.

Full Power/90W
Output 11
Gain 3º clock
Master 10/11o clock
Presence 10º clock
Treble 2º clock
Mid 10º clock
Bass 9/10º clock

EQ on Sliders Agressive V shape.

I'm getting a litlle bit frustated with this.
Need some Help
Cheerz^^

If you find it harsh, consider (seriously) swapping the 6L6s for a good set of EL34s. These have a smoother top end and eliminate harshness. I just did this, and now I like the IIC+ mode.

It sounds like you think you should like the Mark IIC+ mode, but don't. There is nothing wrong with that. The IIC+ mode is lower in gain, and has more clarity (I could see where it would seem "harsher" than the IV mode).

It seems like everyone was super-excited about the Mark IIC+ mode, but when I got my Mark V, I was most looking forward to the Mark IV mode. And that's still the mode I use, though now that I've got JJ EL34s in the amp, I'm liking IIC+ more.

so far i am liking ch3 mk4 and ch2 MKI the most.the extreme mode is also pretty killer.
I like MK2c too but only boosted so far.

I am going to do Atlanta Music Store cruise this morning. Will be looking for some JJ EL34's...... Sounds like mojo in them globes...

As the great philosopher Rob Zombie says...... Blood on her skin... dripping with sin...
