What Mark amp can nail the Santana tone but also handle metal/hard rock tones well?

Can the Mark IV do it?

or should I go straight to the Mark I?

metal hard rock goes to the mark4, but it really depends on what kind of metal you're talking about. modern metal is the mark4 IMO, but the mark2c+ and mark3 can also do metal w/o a problem. it will just sound a little different.

IMO, all the marks can do santana if you have good ears and a PRS

Chevelle use the Mark IV.

I agree, any of the marks will get you to santana with the right guitar.

Question though, didn't you just get a roadster? Why a new amp so soon?

Keep your Rec and you will have a killer Mesa Rig. I wouldn't say poor Recto. I would say more of a complete rig.

Here you go barney, the quality sucks and I'm not even sure if that's the proper riff but it sounded right on the fly :p
