All things being equal, a GZ34 supplies more voltage than the 5U4GB. Perhaps only Mesa can tell you if that is safe.
The only direct experience I can offer is with the Heartbreaker. You can run EL-34s with the 5U4GB, but the manual says only at 60 watts vs. 100 (two tubes are off). So maybe the Mark V would tolerate the 5U4GB in the 45 watt mode.
I'm sure Mesa will sell you their brand of 5U4GB, so the real question is if the amp design will accommodate the 5U4GB.
