hello everyone,

i don't know why but i feel i need to try this, i want my mesa 100 watt sob to function as a simul-class, but i want the el34's to turn on when i put the switch into full power. or the other way around so in half power it's only the 6l6's and when i flip the switch it turns on the el34's giving me and even MORE of whatever i'm trying to do.....

needs are; what do resistors and what values do i change on the power tube sockets and is this going to kill my amp?

i love this amp the way it but i did like the option of the el34's like my old 295.

thanks in advance
bob

I'm no tech, but I think this is going to be a very involving mod. Not only circuit change, simul class amps have their own output transformer, so replacing the transformer is in order when doing the mod. When all is done, you might as well buy a used Mark III. Simpler still, why not just slave the SOB into your 295?
