I am considering another amp, probably used.

I love my Boogie MKIIC+, but I think I am playing music that might leverage more of a Fenderish tone/dynamic. I play Dead, Blues, Funk and 60/70's psychedelia and a little Alt country stuff.

I hear that the Rivera Amps/Fender-Rivera have nice sound, dual channels and MORE BASS Control.

Can anyone give his opinion of these amps in comparison to a Mark IIC/II/IV?

How do the lead channels compare? Does it cascade and sing like a Boogie or is more of a Marshall preamp/master ?
How do the Clean channels Compare?

I am trying to get the most sound out of a combo, most likely 1-12 or a 2-10.

Thanks

Dan

I've owned a few Rivera amps in the past and really liked them. I've had an R30, R55 and a Duo12100. The clean channel on each of these amps was nice. They were very Fenderish with very lush reverb. The gain channel on them was much like an old Marshall. A very good chunky rythem sound for rock, but I didn't care for it as a lead tone.

The only problem I had with Rivera amps is that they always seemed to be underpowered for what they were rated. For example, when I had an R30 I had a Boogie .22 Cal at the same time and the .22 was way, louder than the R30. Also, my Duo12 never sounded like 100watts to me. But they did sound good.
