Hi all,
I have a slightly battered combo amp, which seems to function fine. however, the chassis feels loose when i plug the lead into the input and footswitch. is this a common issue? is it something that needs looking at. i imagine it doesn't affect the sound in anyway, but it might make it more fragile when carting it around.
it's been modded a bit (by a previous owner), with an extra pot on the back, which reduces the lead gain (redundant for my purposes) and a switch to take it from triode into pentode (or at least that's what i think it does). i do love this amp, but it looks its age. and i would do anything to get hold of a dc-5 to get around the shared gain knob (though i would keep the caliber too).
