Cable for channel switch pedal? Just a stereo cable? Any specifics?

Yep, just a stereo cable. You can use the cheapest one money can buy.

TRS connectors...(stereo) and NO don't get the cheapest one money can buy. Not if you expect it to work when you stomp on it. It's gonna suck if you're footswitch doesn't work at a gig because you bought the cheapest cable out there. (From experience with this problem) I suggest you get the best one you can find. You'll thank yourself for it. If your handy with a soldering iron you can save some money by buying some good cable and a couple of good qualty Nuetrik or Switchcraft connectors and soldering them yourself.
