Yeah, I agree with the velcro is lame. You can try screwing your pedals down if you use external power for those that need bottom access. This keeps them firmly attached and if you are really rocking you won't have any problems. You may need to retighten the screws though if you don't use threaded bolts and nylock nuts or lock washers behind your nuts. The screw or bolt is a little more permanent but once you have it set you have no worries about your pedals coming off/shifting/velcro being lame and sliding or wearing out. The down side is that they are fixed to where they are and you must really decide where you like them.
