It's not too bad actually.
Remove the pots above the one you are trying to get to, but do not un-solder it.
Simply take the knob and nut off. Then bend it back toward the circuit board gently.
Just make sure that you don't break the wires when you do it, and don't forget to catch the locking washer if there is one.
Also.....I know it gets said millions of times, but please make sure the caps are discharged!
