Years ago, I bought a Weber 10F150P to put in my Fender Super Champ, and I forgot all about it (sold the Super Champ a while back). I have been a little un-inspired by my Blue Angel lately, and I remembered having the Weber. The Blue Angel had a pair of Jensen P10Rs, and I swapped one out for the Weber. Wow, I really like the Weber! Unfortunately, it's way more efficient (louder) than the Jensen, so I need to get something that better compliments the Weber.
The Weber is rated for 50 watts. I have read that a Weber 10A125 (Alnico) would be a good match, but it's only rated for 30 watts, so I'm concerned that it might have the same problem as the Jensen. A 10A150 is available with a 50 watt rating, but it's a lot more expensive than the 10A125.
Will the 10A125 work well with the 10F150P? Or do I need to spend the extra bucks for a 10A150? Or, do you have something else to recommend?
