i have a dual rectifier and im plugged into a grounded outlet and i keep blowing fuses. i have taken the tubes out, thinking that was my problem, and im still blowing fuses can somebody help me out?

ohhh I would say hunt for a guy on here called boogiebabies..he's your man he will suss it out probably,I would have said It would have been the tubes as My nomad used to do the exact same thing and I replaced all the power tubes and it whent away and has never been a problem again,It could be anything internal as these are complicated animals and there are a lot of components which could go bust at anytime!!!

If the amp is blowing fuses with the tubes removed it is likely your rectifier or a shorted filter cap,or god forbid the PT,provided there isnt a loose wire touching something. If you are able to open the amp and disconnect the secondaries on the PT I would suggest starting there to rule out the PT,if the fuse doesnt blow with all the secondaries disconnected your PT is okay. The next step would be the rectifier.
