You may want to call Mesa on that combo. It appears to be a Super Sixty with EQ and Reverb and has a Fender OT.
Maybe they can help you pin point an age on it, or you can just look for a tech date on the bottom of the chassis.
My guess is the combo is 1975-76 and the head may be 1978.

As far as smell, they should have the odor of a big block Corvette after being driven hard. The values will be all over the place so
if you don't have to sell them don't.

That's what it smells like to me. The resin in the transformers smells like my old Corvette.

I caught a whiff of a 13L turbo diesel engine straight off the dyno today that had "That Smell". 8)
