I don't want to know how many of you immensely enjoyed the Mens Canada vs USA Olympic hockey game >=-(

I sat watching it with my Canadian wife and enjoyed the heck out of it!

winter olympics....
pretty much the only time i bother watching sports.

the rest of the time..... meh.

i'd rather be outdoors.

In general I find all competition ugly. It really shows a pathetic self important side of human nature. It also encourages adults to act like egotistical over zealous children. Very strange behavior if you ask most people. The over abundance of homosexual behavior and suggestion in all sports and its inflection is scary...... I do not judge anyone by their sexual preferences. But I do not want to hear about it either .... or see it as in the case of all competitive sports. I always get the feeling most athletes and sports fans are closet homosexuals.

But I do enjoy the Olympics ..... I have been watching about 2 hours a day.

So do you have cable in that closet? Just could not help but feeling led to a conclusion there with the 2 hours a day watching itcomment. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Is Paul Stanley in there?

I was wondering who would reply to that nonsense. :D .... I know it's part just me, but I see a lot of sporting events gayer than one of the pride parades. Much more than most things you see on TV anyway.

I am a huge KISS fan and like watching a good game. But I have only had interest in women. Have you watched much of the games this year :?:

How many of your pervs have been watching the woman figure skating!? =-p

I have personally been enjoying all the ski and snowboard events as well. Snow cross, Ski cross, moguls, slalom, alpine, super G etc etc. I think Lindsay Vonn deserved her gold in the downhill, if just to entertain my wife and I with all the waterworks / freaking out after she found out she had won! I also enjoyed watching the flying tomato's massive air. EPIC. Oh, and Darryl Begg-Smith pulling a poutyface on the podium because he didn't get his precious PRECIOUS gold medal!

They're all great athletes, but them costumes is super-gay.
Way too much hot pink and turquoise.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

yea, that curling stuff is a trip. They should require the sweepers to be midgets and wear tights. That would make it super awesome :)

My wife watches the Oly. I watched the snowboarding highlights. That one guy with the mega air on a triple McTwisty half curl triple 270, or whatever he calls it, was freakishly talented.

On the curling, I can visualize oompa loompas doing the brushes!!  Great idea kiff.

I still remember my Grandmother telling my Grandfather "If your so interested in sweeping why don't you sweep out the garage ?"

Midget throwing never became as popular as I thought it would.

I have been skiing for 41 years .... going down the runs they are at those speeds is very difficult and a fraction of a second of lack of concentration could change everything. Skiing fast is easy, having control is a very different thing.

I love speed. So much so that when you get going to 'scary fast' it's the most exhilarating. 'Scary fast' is when your 207's or 220's feel like they are as short in length as your boots, and you hope/ pray your bindings don't release no matter what! I've never been clocked but would guess I've hit the mid 70's speed wise more than a few times. Coming down a road on a bicycle in the spring hitting 55mph feels slow relative to the speeds hit while skiing.

I can definitely relate to that! I used to go on 6 day ski trips with my friends mostly to TAOS (NM) and Wolf Creek (CO). I was such a speed junkie that we used to station guys down the mountain on the blind corners to signal that it was clear so we could go full speed all the way to the bottom. It was nuts! We were safe in that we never raced on busy runs and always had guys ahead. I'm surprised I never killed myself. I'm 5'5 and had 180's where the bindings were set as tight as they could be. Catching air on a drop off just after a hard corner was a rush like no other...

Dayum, now I want to go skiing....

Holy Sh!t You guys are going Sonny Bono on those skis. Have done water skis, that is fun, and Polaris 1200 jet ski goes @ 60 with my wife on back. That seems fast. Can't imagine what the massive air feels like for the guys doing the jumps in the Olympics. Must be like skydiving with a less predictable landing....

I like going fast on my motorcycles, had the CBR up to 145mph and that is fine, except a stick or stray cat can be the end of ya.

i find just the opposite true, in the wasatch, when skiers from back east, come out to the powder, and overwork it and one foot ski it, and just can't seem to get into the flow.

i think, to ski well, you've just got to be in tune with the particular mountain, and conditions your on, and change accordingly.
you gotta have the right gear.

i'd never take my 1080 guns on to east coast boilerplate, but i'd also never take my VIST SL's out in the powder.

they're just different tools, for different skills and conditions.

that said, i MUCH prefer deep bottomless powder, to the chatter of icy snow that wants to rattle my teeth out.

no fun.
