What are some BB settings used on the Mark V? Any channel, throw some settings samples up and let us know what works for you guys. Thanks!

I havn't really used it at all lately. Last time I did I was going for a low/mid gain tone out of both amp and pedal to get a tone that had alot of body and not too much gain. For that I used the tweed mode, 10 watt, variac. Settings on the BB: Gain a little less than noon, Treble 12:30, Bass 1:00, and Volume at about 10:00. It seems to keep a tube tone authenticiy while bringing an electrified edge to it. Good luck and enjoy!

I actually just sold my BB Preamp that I play through my Mark V because I prefer it without (plus I also use a Tone Freak Abunai 2 pedal which kicks all kinds of ass with this amp)!!!

Hello Mark,

The BB is a great pedal, and being true bypass, it adds more options to an already option-packed amp like the Mark V without compromising your pure tone in case you want it out of your signal chain. Perfect for adding sustain in your solos (MK4 and Extreme modes) and fatten up channel 2 crunch mode, especially on live performing when that extra sustain helps being more confident playing difficult solo parts.

I have found two useful settings for the style I play (mostly metal and hard rock):

Used as a boost (prefered):
Gain: all the way down
Volume: all the way up
Treble: 9:00
Bass: 3:00

Used as overdrive:
Gain: 9:00
Volume: 12:00
Treble: 9:00
Bass: 3:00

Best,
Marcelo

Generally I used mine as a boost.
G: 10
T: 12
B: 12
Volume: 11 (Not sure about this as I'm away from my gear at the moment)

AWESOME! Thanks guys. Exactly what I was looking for... trying these out tonight.

I have the treble and bass controls all the way down, and volume and gain at about 10 o clock. It really acts as a great light boost that just fattens up any tone and makes the best frequencies sound even better.

All of these are great settings! I tried them all out over the weekend and have started to use the BB for a lot of things because it does sound so good. Thanks again!
