Basic bass combo amp?

Hey all-- anybody got any suggestions on a decent combo amp for bass that I could pick up for under $400 used?

Basically I just need it for songwriting/jam sessions. It has to be able to hang at moderate rehearsal volume and sound okay. A DI out would be a plus, because we tape our rehearsals.

I can look on Ebay but I know jack about bass gear...

i would say look on musicians friend or something and get an idea of what you want and then go to ebay. i don't know much about bass stuff, but i've heard good things about ashdown's lower end stuff.

Hartke makes some decent amps in that price range.
