Buddy of mine lent me his early serial # Triaxis with ver 2.0 on it. It sounds great when dialed in but I'm having the following issues:
#1. The volume just "drops out" at random points. best way to describe it like going from +4 to -10db. No loops kicked in or anything external and I've tried chaing ALL the tubes. Still no good. :?
#2. Setup all my presets and tweaked and tweaked..saved and confirmed and played for awhile before shutting down my rig. Next day I kicked on my rig and all the presets on JUST the Triaxis were different. #1 was mapped to #3 and everything was totally different. It was like it reset to factory default but these were NOT default presets! Anyone ever have anything similiar or may have some insight as to what may be causing these problems? Thanks in advance for any replies....

What are you running your TriAxis through? I suspect a 2:90...? Many 2:90's have a quirky line/instrument switch and will kind of randomly switch back and forth between the two (mine had that problem, and it went away when they replaced the switch).

If it's not a 2:90, then sorry, I dunno.

As far as MIDI patches are concerned, perhaps you just need to send the TriAxis in for some maintenance. Plus, avoid using 1-20, as it's too easy to override them with factory defaults anyhow. Oh, and do midi dumps regularly ;)

The poweramp is a 2:100 but I've also tried it with a solid state amp just to make sure it WASNT the amp causing the drop out,{2:100 amp is almost new}.

As far as patches I was using from 21 on...
Has this ever happened to anybody before and could it be an expensive fix ???
