I'm not sure why people think the RK can't do leads. Channel 3 of my RK II in vintage or raw voicing can do some pretty liquidy leads. I usually use 'bold' (100W), 4x6L6s, diode rectified, presence at noon, gain on 2-3 O'clock, treble @ 2-3 O'clock, bass/mid to taste. Master at noonish.

And with the settings to get a nice lead tone, mainly spongy, the amps looses the pump and kick that I love when I have it set to bold for rythmn.
