Background noise Ch 1 (Mark V)

Hi all,

I am new to this forum having recently purchase the Mark V combo. I have found the background noise on Ch 1 especially in the tweed mode to hum louder than channel 2 and 3. The humming noise his heard even though I have not plugged any instruments in the amp. Is this normal?

I've noticed that tweed is a bit noisier than the clean and fat modes on my amp, I just wrote it off as being due to the higher gain. It's not really bad, just something you can hear if you're listening for it. Noise gates are your friend!
