Hey guys

I am getting a Mark IV very shortly, and wondered if any of you have experience with the Avatar Premier Vintage 212 custom. It is an open back in a Bogner 212 cabinet build style. I have been looking at these lately because I have heard they are great quality and also have a great tone.

I was also wondering if any of you have any speaker recommendations from the following (any two of which come with the cab):
Celestion: Vintage 30s, G12H30s, G12T75s, Greenbacks, , Classic Lead 80s, Hellatone 30s, Hellatone 60s. I am thinking a Vintage 30 and a G12H30.

Now I am going to purchase two of these, so I should get 8 Ohm cabinets correct?

Thanks in advance

While I don't have a Mark IV I can say that the Avatar Vintage 212 is awesome. I have a closed back with two Helltone 60's in it and it sounds huge and warm. I'm playing my JSX through it.

im seriously thrilled with my new hellatone 60s. they make celestion 12m70 sound like a-hole!

You can get two 8 ohms and run it in to one of the 4 ohm jacks on the back of the MkIV or you could get 2 16 ohms and run it into the 8 ohm jack. I have a closed back Avatar G212 premium with a Celestion Century Neo and a Century Neo Vintage and it sounds great. It's also only about 30 lbs which is a huge bonus.

I have always thought 70's sounded like sh!t. Play 65's if you want something nice in that range in wattage.
