I'm wondering what an Xotic BB preamp would sound like through a DC... Can anyone share their experience?
Anyone using a BB preamp with thier DC? I'm curious...

both xotic rc and bb to my dc-2 and they sound very good.
What I do is keep the gain at 5 on both the clean and lead channel.
On the lead, the BB is great to add some more gain but still keep or increase the dynamics (which I think this channel hasn`t got enough) and i can get a sound which I like.
My dream lead sound would be the one of the lead channel of a lonestar classic...
On the clean/rythm channel instead the BB can give you a lot more options, in fact by keeping the gain at 5 I have a nice clean sound and use the pedal even for rythm parts and not only solos (I boost the cleans with the rc, use only the BB for rythm, and both, with rc into bb, for leads).
I like it a lot.
It`s very transparent and believe me, anyware you set the knobs, it will sound good.

Hey, Marco! Thanks for the reply. Can you make me some clips? 
I've heard clips of a BB through a DC-10 I believe, but a DC-2 would be cool to hear too.

I use the BB preamp in front of my DC10. I set the gain of my BB preamp at about 9-10 o'clock, same for the volume. On my amp, clean gain is set at 4 (without the boost pulled), same for the lead channel (with the high eq set at 9, as the eq plays a role on the amount of saturation).
The BB is always enabled, and I switch from rythm to lead sound by turning the volume pot on my guitar from 5-6 to max. With the BB preamp enabled, you sound doesn't become dark when you turn down the volume pot of the guitar.
With these settings, with the volume volume of the guitar set at the maximum level, on the clean channel, I get a nice Andy Timmons clean sound. I think this BB is a must have in a good PB !
