Anyone try boosting Recto/Roadster with a V1 Bottle Rocket?

Boost a preamp with the same preamp?! Well... never tryed that... It might work...
*edit: Er...thinking about the V-Twin. Again, it might work well! Have all the characteristics to give that juice to a recto.

I tried ages ago with my Rectoverb. Still own the amp and the pedal. It didn't work out too well. It seemed the pedal has a muddy bottom end, sounds dark-ish. It's not a high gain pedal, either. TBH, it may have been the tube that was in there. I can't recall what it's got.... alot of my gear is packed away so I can't check.

The pedal may sound great through other amps but I feel it's not for the Recto.
