Are you sure that they have discontinued them? They are still mentioned in the catalog as being an option. Page 53 under the full stack picture it reads "Recto Standard
Straight comes with straight baffle. Also available with slant baffle." They just aren't listed on the website, on either the cab or discontinued pages. I had two of the straight front/angled baffle cabs. They were great and I loved the look of them. I just sold both of them last week to a couple of friends in other bands. I am getting true straight fronts now. I'll let you know how different they sound once they come in (being built, so it'll be at least a couple weeks), and they will be a little different sounding anyways because I am getting a different speaker combination than what are in both of cabs that I sold. I have heard that the true straight fronts have more bass response and a deeper tone and move a little more air. They also spread the sound straight outward, and are supposedly a little punchier than the angled cabs. Mark Tremonti swears by the straight fronts, and most of the bands that I have played with in the metal/hardcore scene use the true straights now. They sound great to me. The nice thing about the angled cabs was you could still stack them, and yet have the sound angled up towards your head.
