Anyone have Mike B. mod their Mark IV?

Has anyone here had Mike B. at Mesa mod their Mark IV? I heard from a friend that it is possible to have a gain mod done, but I just wanted to get some input from those that have had the mod done (if its even possible).

Also, if you have had the mod done, what exactly does it do and what effect does it have on the amp and gain structure? Thanks.

There were some info about this sometime back. Referred to as "Metallica" mod or something. Search is your friend. Whatever it is, IMO mods to provide separate bass/mid control for R1 and R2, and gain boost for R2 are MUCH MUCH more useful, if there was one. Being such a gain beast the Mark IV is, how much more gain do you need anyway out of it? :shock:
