Anybody using a 15 or 30 band EQ with their MKIII?

I've actually thought about selling my MKIII and going with a 2:90 / Studio Preamp setup, but a friend asked if I'd tried an eq in the loop, he told me he'd let me borrow his Rane rack eq...Anyone using one with their setup?
