I am about to send in my .50+ head back to Mesa to service it and rebuild a new case it. I noticed when I look at the back of the amp there is a diagram of the guts inside. It shows the pre-amps and the power amps. The head only contains 2 6L6 power tube sockets but on the diagram it shows (6L6) before and after the two actuals tubes. My question is would Mesa be able to install two extra power tube sockets (one on either side like the Mark IV) or does that diagram just mean something else? If so I want to add two EL34's to really tighten up the tone. Any clue out there?!?!?!
