Cleaned it up and took some shots while doing so, for the record. Didn't need much cleaning, just oiled the wood lightly, dusted things off. All original everything, including the Fetron in V1 (with 12ax7/Fetron switch), and the 12ax7 spare. It's a Boogie Mark IIa Koa combo HRG with an EV 15 incher. As mint as a 33 year old amp can be, with all original and clean tubes.

not sure what this outlet is for -

The power tubes are Sylvanias, the 12ax7s GE 7025/12ax7s, and the 12AT7 is German but says Amperex on it.

seems it was made of one piece of Koa - the same flame pattern at one end of the board is on both sides, top, and bottom as well as the back

The outlet on the chassis bottom? The cooling fan plugs into it.
Noice hunk o' wood.
Be glad to take those old, worn out tubes off your hands. :wink:

Nice ! Nice ! Nice ! More than Nice !

I would have found the same here in EU in export version to be the mate of my IIA +++

Lucky Man you are, indeed !

A+!

Gee-sarse!!
That's gotta be the cleanes 33yr old I've ever seen!!
Including amps...

If the trannies,pots and other codes didn't verify the age, I'd be suspicious..

How on earth has it been stored - in a vacuum with temperature control??

Utterly envious and massive congrats to you - a very rare and lucky find!!

Now play it hard and make the lucky punters happy!

Dave

Thanks! Yes, it is remarkably clean and even more impressive free of noise.

Another question please. This is not in the instruction manual.

I've labeled these jacks on the chassis A, B, C, and D.

A and B are TRS style instrument cable input jacks. For a switch or something I presume. The slave and line in/outs are on the back of the amp.

C and D are RCA style input jacks. The reverb tank has a dual RCA plug cable coming from it, so I assume these are for that.

For the record,

A = ?
B= ?
C= ?
D =?

A = T - Gain Boost, R - GEQ
B = preamp out
C = reverb input (send)
D = reverb output (return)

Edit: Look what I've found inside my MarkII cab :). The hardwood cab has the plate too, I think.

That's crazy - I have one too, and completely missed it - thank you for pointing it out.

I had also emailed Mesa Boogie, and got this response:

A) This is for a dual function footswitch as seen here: http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/fcrg.html
B) This is a preamp out
C & D) These RCA jacks are for the reverb tank

But it would have been easier if I just looked inside the cab.
