amp to contrast a mk iv

i have a mark iv and i just have trouble getting a real creamy hot lead tone without it getting to crunchy. ive tried different guitars and different pickups but its always too aggressive or lacking something. im wondering if there are any recommendations for another amp to get that kinda tone i cant get out of the mark iv.

i think the mk IV has one of the best lead tone's out.. up the mid's keep the treble and presence down.. and the gain hot..

i might just be setting it up wrong but when i try that the mids sound kinda muffled and ugly. it sounds to bland. maybe its just that i want some impossible tone that is only in my head :?

is it a combo or are you playing through a cab?
