This doesn't really help with your question but I read that having the combo unit directly on the floor improves\positively impacts low frequency response.

I bought the regular musician's friend one with the two L shaped arms for another amp and have used it with my MV combo and it held it sturdy enough to where I never worried about it. I no longer use it anymore though, 'cause I don't like the sound hitting me like that on tight stages and it doesn't break down that good when packing.

I use a tripod stand that also has a mic. provision on it. I use a stand because it is difficult to hear the amp because of its low profile. this stand also is a tilt back type. I tried the amp on the floor..(and unless you take the wheels off ) dos'nt really make that much diff. here is the link ... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/musicians-gear-deluxe-tripod-amp-stand/483286000000000. I find that I play a little softer with the stand because I don't have to realy crank it just to hear myself. I love it and it has stood up to the 80lbs of the V.

I know that sitting the combo amp on the floor is recommended, but I use a stand and it doesn't sound any different to me. I have been using this one. It works nicely...

The best amp stand for your combo would be a widebody closedback cab.

Thats true I really like the way they look...But they sound better separated by about 10 feet...
