Yes you are. You're selling THE most coveted Mesa Boogie to pick one up that's being mass produced in droves right now. Your C+ will buy you about 15 Roadsters in coming years. Keep it and save up til you can afford a Roadster as well. At least that's what I'd do.

If you don't use the C+ for anything anymore, then go for it. But realize you'd lose the best lead sound man has ever created! Roadster can't give you that!

Simple, if you're not satisified with the IIC+ then I say go for it, but if you're just gassing for something new, hang onto the IIC+ and get a secondary amp, pick up a used DR and then get a switching system so you have 2-3 channels of recto and 2 channels of mark

I like that idea. Hate the thought of waiting though. . . :)

You seem like a very nice fellow and a smart individual so I will not say what I would to a person that would even THINK about doing that. Get some rest, enjoy the sunshine, take your vitamins and for the love of Christ do not sell your Mark II. Have a great day!!!

Hi!

I'm a shrink in my day job and I used to own a Roadster, so I can saw will 100% medical certainty... YES, YOU ARE NUTS!

However, I think Jon's advice is right on. Give it three days. If it is still a good idea in three days, then consider sell it.

You're not nuts, just a case of temporary insanity brought on by the "Greener Grass Syndrome". I fell victim to this about 10 years ago.
There is a cure. :D

Your not nuts. You just are after a different sound. I suggest not selling the IIC+ and just getting something different.

I had the same issue a few years ago. I have an original MArshall 1967 Plexi. I was gonna sell it for something else. I ended up keeping the Marshall... but I have not used it in more than 2 years...

I bought a MKIIC+ new in 1983 and sold it when the band broke up about three years later. Two weeks ago, I got my 2nd. MKIIC+. I have other amps for other sounds but the C+ would probably be the last to go if I sold my amps. The C+ and a Marshall style amp (I love my Ampeg VL 502) cover all the sonic bases for me. I have other amps mostly for their light weight and portability but nothing sounds as good as these two. I don't always wear my best clothes and I don't always use my best amp.

How about a used rect-o-verb or trem-o-verb? Anyone have experience with those? If I were to keep the II, financially that's probably the way I'd have to go.

Of those two, I would say that a used trem-o-verb would be a good addition to the C+, in your amp collection. But selling the C+ would be out of the question. I actually used to play my MkI and a 2 channel Triple Rectifier in an A/B/stereo setup. :D
