Hey everyone, I was just wondering if any body had any good settings for the RK1 to get a Mark Tremonti/Alterbridge type heavy rhythm sound. If someone could give me some ball park settings that'd be awesome. Thanks in advance.

go to youtube and do a search for mark tremonti rig. He shows you his personal settings.

Yeah I saw that video, but he's running his Bass on 10 (not 10 o clock), some mids, and barely any treble. I doubt those settings will sound good, but who knows. I'm not trying to get his exact sound, but I'd love to be in the ballpark and have that kind of heavy rhythm sound.

i tried his settings on my 3ch when i used to have it and they obviously sounded exactly like his tone. It was a cool sound. Very unique, but something I'd have to test with the band before using all the time.

Try them out regardless. It'll take 5 minutes.

PM replied too :D

And yeah...his settings seem odd, but they are a cool tone. VERY extreme in bass, gain, and treble.

And you know, after hearing Blackbird, I want to have his children even more  (Kidding  )

That album's sick isn't it? Its been in my cd player since it came out. I can't get enough of it. I think my favorite tracks are "ties that bind", "buried alive", "blackbird", and "rise today".

Have you seen Myle's new live rig? He has a Mark IV, Diezel Herbert, and Lonestar combo.

Tremonti is now using slanted recto cabs instead of straight.

on his rig video on youtube...am i seeing things wrong or does he have the channel master and overall master cranked? god that has to be loud.

is that safe for the amp??

Haha, I've got a parellel thread going about the same thing! I'm going to check out his settings as soon as I get my amp back from the shop... has anyone tried them live? I would worry about boosted lows/highs and a lack of mids in a normal band situation.
