Hi

I've recently upgraded to a Mesa Dual Rectifier.

Could anyone please advise what function on the amp co-incides with the Amp Gizmo switches?

I'm assuming switches 1-3 change the amp channels.

The instructions that came with the specialist cable to connect the Gizmo to the Mesa appear to be relating to the old model Dual Rec.

It shows Solo as switch 6 and FX Loop as switch 8. Is the Tuner mute assigned to switch 7?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Chris.

you mentioned the g-system, and all I can say is get one when you can. I just received one with my Roadster and have spent the entire day in tonal heaven. i am officially done buying gear. I have my Roadster, my custom cab, my Fender American Deluxe Strat, a recording amp (Tiny Terror), Rivera Silent Sister, and all the effects I could ever utilize.

Get one from PGS! They are on sale right now for $1199

I have RG-16s and effects gizmos with my amps. Ron can custom wire your cable any way you want the order of the switches. To find out how the old cable works with the new recto, plug it in and press buttons 1-8 on the amp gizmo.

I wonder if he can make me a longer RRN cable with the buldge on one end. I'd like to keep the Mini Amp Gizmo in the pedalboard and run the RRN cable through a loom with all the other cables. The standard 10ft length and the buldge in the middle would prevent me from doing this.

I have talked to him a few times on the phone. In one rig, I have a tremoverb and and a nomad. I wanted the functions of the two amps to match each other more closely than they do with the stock cables. He said it was no problem, I could either send him my cable or order a custom cable. From our conversation, it seems he can wire up anything you want. The cables for my Roadster and Nomad have the bulge close to the plug that goes into the amp, so I don't have the problem you are talking about. Still, call him. He is really nice, and I am sure he can build you what you want.

1+

he built me a custom cable as well for my 3-channel dual recto to match the switching with my roadster.
he charged me the same price as for regular cable.

call him or write him an email - he responds very quick and can help you with all your questions.
