I am looking to add a 16 ohm output to my Mark III. I have a bunch of cabinets, but they are all wired for 16 ohms. I know I can use the 8 ohm output, but I am sure there is a change in the tone...

Any thoughts? 8)

Rewire your cabs to 4 ohms and use them one at a time.

There is such a slight difference in tone that probaly 99.9% of most musicians would not even know it.

Only other difference is running an amp into 8 ohm will make it slightly louder, running it into 16 ohm will make it slightly lower, but once again, at the volume these babies put out, you would never really know the difference or need it.
