I don't understand why you'd be surprised...what else could they say, it is in fact a great sounding amp...that even traditional Mesa haters like
 
I am surprised at their comments about the cleans on the amp. I've read way too many comments about people judging the amp's clean capabilities, claiming that the ED's cleans are much better. It's all subjective -- I get that. I was still surprised by their glowing reviews of the amp's clean channel. To write the amp may have the best cleans in Mesa's entire fleet is the shocker.
 
The RA cleans are tough to beat. Who ever said EL34s were not good for clean??? 6L6's pretty much ruin the clean channel in this amp. :D
