I played a show this weekend with my ancient (as I call it) Dual Recto #112. Loaded with JJ-EL34L's into a Mesa Traditional Recto 4x12, and 2x12. Guitar was a Washburn M20 BoogieStreet Custom. Pickup, SD Diablo.

Whattaya think? Not bad for a 18year old amp or so...
 
sounds nice..but its not the recto sound, which made it really famous. Seems like pre500 is not the classic recto tone.

On the contrary...the pre500 tone is the recto sound in its purest form. The tone is elevated to an incredible level you didn't think possible. Don't knock it till you try it :wink:
